Once again I have proven that I am NOT the Pope of Trivia (I’m not infallible). I’m simply Trivia Guy… maybe Trivia Deacon on a good night…but last night was not a good night. Last night I was like a Trivia Altar Boy who got reamed by Father MacFacts. Ok, I’ve taken that epic simile too far now…
I asked you to name one of the two movies that Judd Apatow directed in 2007… My answers were Superbad and Knocked Up. It was pointed out to me that he only (*only*) produced Superbad and did not direct it. Only one team put Superbad so they got away with a few points there, but that team did not finish in the top 3… so my error did not affect the game.
PS. We are well over 10,000 hits now…woohoo! On to 50,000!

Just got the word from John Harvard’s. There will be no change in the day or time of trivia night. I don’t think there will even be a game because the Sox will sweep the Angels. Even if there is a game…well…John Harvard’s has TV’s! See you Monday!!!

There is an important announcement: Trivia now starts at 9pm instead of 9:30pm. So arrive earlier…. I would expect it to be a bit more difficult to get a table because some people will still be eating dinner… But hey, we’ll be done by 11pm now.
Also, I took down the “submit a question” section of the website… Not because I didn’t like your questions (I did) but because the more people submit, the more I realized that it gives the submitter’s team too great an advantage. But I would encourage you to submit song requests. Sooo…. See you Monday before 9pm!

The 33rd Annual General Meeting of the International Standard Book Number panel took place…where?
Slow week this week. I went to Redbones on Sunday and ordered the BBQ Belt. Anyone ever tried that? It’s F-ing HUGE! I just finished it today for lunch. Anyways, that is not relevant to trivia at all, I’m just still amazed. Don’t forget to write your answer to the Web Bonus during the first round tonight for 5 points!

It’s true! Playboy Magazine featured John Harvard’s as its college bar of the month and they said explicity that people who wanted to check out the bar should do so on Monday nights because of the amazing trivia! To be honest, I think most of the article is crap… I mean, it’s pretty clear to anyone that has been inside that JH is not the place you want to go if you’re just looking to find someone to take home with you. It’s not a meat market, the food is so-so… But still, I was happy to have the trivia night mentioned. One other note: I think this article might not be current, it may have come out several months ago but it was brought to my attention only this weekend so… that’s why I am writing about it now.
